Soul Food Brunch

By  |

Keeta has done it again. Running her second successful Friday Soul Food Brunch at Upstairs Downstairs, Habibti Magazine was invited to experience the party atmosphere and brunch spread.

With an extensive career and passion in cooking both for the Army, private events and as a personal Chef; organising a brunch is second nature for Keeta; and it is no surprise that it has been received extremely successfully.

The concept of the Soul Food Brunch is wholesome comfort food from the South, served in a relaxed environment with good music and good company at Upstairs Downstairs Restaurant, Adiliya.

To successfully bring a unique concept such as a Soul Food Brunch to the Middle East, from concept to execution, is a great feat and accomplishment, which Keeta has achieved.

The party starts at 12pm and continues until 5pm, or until your feet hurt from dancing too much – whichever comes first.

The menu is a select range of comfort food to make any ones soul sing; southern fried chicken, jerk beef ribs, baked mac & cheese, green beans, fried cabbage with beef sausage, collard greens, fresh fruit and the best cream desserts, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

The atmosphere is relaxed with great music and a solid party vibe throughout the brunch. There’s ample of seating with lots of cozy corners or dance floor facing tables, add to this incredibly attentive waiting staff and you have your self a perfect Friday afternoon.

Definitely a brunch to be experienced; for information on the next brunch
