Something wicked is awakening at Kenwood House

By  |

Something wicked is awakening at Kenwood on Hampstead Heath…

Halloween At Kenwood will run from 17th October to 2nd November, transforming the historic grounds into a spine-tingling illuminated trail packed with frights, delights, and immersive surprises for all ages — including ghostly encounters, eerie spectacles, and atmospheric installations.

Roaming the pastures behind the house, the Headless Horseman rides again — a ghostly figure mounted on horseback. Venture deeper into the trail and you may come face to face with a threatening Highway Woman demanding “your money or your life!”, or a cackling Witch brewing dark magic over a bubbling cauldron. Listen closely and you’ll hear the screams of a lost Spirit, wailing from the heart of a thunderstorm.

All of this is set to a bespoke Halloween soundtrack, created specially to enhance the trail’s eerie atmosphere and make the experience fully immersive — from the first footstep to the final fright.

  • Wander through a moonlit Graveyard with 30 gravestones — and restless energy beneath
Watch Incantation, a chilling fire show performed by three spellbinding artists in a ritual of reincarnation
Marvel at a Lasers and Lights show lighting up the landscape
See the grand façade of Kenwood transformed with spooky projections
Encounter 20 crows, silently perched and ever watching…
Capture memories at interactive selfie spots, including cages and traditional stocks
  • Crawl through the glowing Spider’s Tunnel, swarming with 50 neon spiders

Guests can expect an immersive journey through eerie woodlands, past ghostly figures and spectacular light installations, all set against the backdrop of the stunning grounds of one of the capital’s most loved destinations. A truly unique experience where history meets haunting, and every twist in the trail reveals a new surprise. Whether you go for the frights, the sights, or the magic of exploring Kenwood after dark, it is going to be unforgettable Halloween adventure for all ages.”

Guests can also tuck into seasonal bites including half-and-half Trick or Treat pizzas, bewitched Heaven & Hell burgers and Vampire Dogs. Finish with marshmallows for something sweet, sip a wickedly good hot toddy or indulge in a decadent hot chocolate as you soak up the spooky atmosphere. There’s something for every monster in your crew.

The perfect experience for friends and all the family, Halloween At Kenwood takes place during the October half-term. Kids are encouraged to come in costume, and dogs are welcome too — so even your furry companions can join in the fang-tastic fun.
