London in summer has a particular kind of energy. The sun comes out, terraces fill up, and suddenly every brand wants to create somewhere you can drink, shop, take a photo and make a memory, all in one afternoon. From fashion houses turning their worlds into immersive experiences to beauty brands creating temporary playgrounds, this summer’s pop-ups are less about simply shopping and more about the experience. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels a little more exciting than your usual Saturday afternoon in London, here are the ones on our radar right now.
Electric Summer at Battersea Power Station
If you want to make the most of the sunshine, Electric Summer is probably the place to start. Taking over Battersea Power Station until 31 August, the free-entry summer experience brings a little seaside-town energy to the Thames, complete with a roller rink, Big Wheel, dodgems, pétanque and boardwalk games. There is also street food, drinks and riverside views at the Coaling Jetty.
The roller rink is the star of the show, with sessions ranging from casual skating to date nights and even Saturday silent discos. Best of all, entry is free, so you can wander around, take in the views and soak up the atmosphere without committing to a full day of activities.

Golden Goose x How Matcha
Golden hour just got a whole lot greener. How Matcha is teaming up with Golden Goose for Frutteria Golden, bringing sun-soaked Italian fruit market energy to Draycott Avenue every weekend throughout August.
Expect iced matcha, vibrant piazza-inspired summer vibes and an exclusive collaboration menu, including the Golden Vanilla Matcha and Dream Matcha Yuzu. The collab menu is also available throughout August at How Matcha’s Marylebone and Notting Hill locations.

Morphe x Selfridges
Beauty lovers, this one’s for you. Morphe is taking over Selfridges’ Duke Street entrance from 10–16 August, bringing a week of makeup consultations, complimentary treats and exclusive rewards.
The first 20 visitors each day can grab a complimentary iced latte, mocha or Espresso Martini, while Morphe Makeup Artists will be offering personalised eye and lip consultations. One of London’s most iconic summer pop-ups is back. The Ice Cream Project has returned to Anya Hindmarch’s Village for its fifth year, serving up a lineup of ice creams and sorbets inspired by cult food brands.
Think pantry staples, favourite biscuits, cult drinks and even classic condiments, all transformed into unexpectedly delicious frozen flavours. Alongside the silver freezers filled with ice cream pots, you can pick up the project’s coveted branded caps or try the Ice Cream Tasting Menu at Anya Café, which has become a sell-out summer favourite.

King's Cross Summer Sounds
Looking for something to do after work? King’s Cross Summer Sounds is back for its 11th year, bringing free live music and dance performances to Coal Drops Yard throughout the summer.
The open-air festival brings together everything from jazz, soul and classical to folk and indie rock, alongside performances from local artists and dynamic dance acts. With live concerts every evening from 6:30–8:30pm and Family Sundays running from 1–6pm, it’s an easy way to add a little culture to your summer plans, without spending a penny.

Costa Del Croydon
Who says you need to leave London for a beach day? Costa Del Croydon is back this August, transforming the rooftop of Centrale’s car park into a free urban beach complete with sand, splash zones, street food, games and fairground rides.
Open seven days a week, it’s designed for everything from family days out to chilled afternoons with friends. New for 2026 is the Croydon Beach Club, adults-only rooftop evenings every Thursday from 13–27 August, with DJs, live entertainment, creative workshops, food and drinks against the Croydon skyline.

Fancy a dip without leaving London? Royal Docks Summer Splash has transformed Royal Victoria Dock into a free open-air lido for three weeks this summer.
