Disney Announces First-Ever Disneyland Resort in the Middle East — Coming to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

In a move that’s set to transform the entertainment landscape of the region, The Walt Disney Company has announced plans to open a landmark Disney theme park resort in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Miral, the Emirate’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences.

Set on the stunning waterfront of Yas Island—already home to world-class attractions like Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld—the new Disney resort will be the seventh of its kind globally, and the first in the Middle East. It will bring Disney’s iconic stories, characters, and attractions to life in a location that connects travellers from across the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and Europe.

This historic collaboration marks a new chapter for both Disney and the UAE. The project will blend the magic of Disney with the cultural richness and innovation of Abu Dhabi, promising a resort experience unlike any other in the world. Visitors can expect dazzling attractions, world-class entertainment, and architectural brilliance along Abu Dhabi’s breathtaking shoreline.
