Erdem X H&M

By  |

Following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Marni, Maison Margiela, Versace, Isabel Marant, Lanvin (among others) and most recently, Kenzo, the fashion house “Erdem” is the next in line to collaborate with H&M.

Announced on the 13th of July, it came as no surprise that everyone went on a frenzy, and was on edge. Erdem’s eponymous designer, Erdem Moralioglu & visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmaan will bring the collection to life through unique story telling, as stated. “For me fashion is always about more than just clothing, it is a form of expression –  a stand alone art form. I am excited to be collaborating with ERDEM and H&M to reveal the story of this unique collection,” says Baz Luhrmann.

As usual, the H&M collaboration collection will feature both womens wear and menswear pieces that refer back to the houses previous, and most celebrated collections. Moraligolu’s sources of inspiration were, and will remain to involve the power of beauty, and the poetry present within historical references. Taking that matter into account, creating a menswear collection would be a first for Erdem, and just looking back at his previous ethereal collections, it only lures us to wonder how his first ever, menswear pieces would come about.

The collection will launch on the 2nd of November 2017 – stay tuned to Habibti Magazine, as well as the hash tag (#Erdemxhm) for more updates.
